Low Back Pain Relief Exercises

By September 9, 2026No Comments2 min read

Hi, I’m Dr. Nick Heiss, Heiss Chiropractic. Today, I’m going to show you three exercises you can do at home for your low back pain.

Dead Bugs

First, we’re going to start with dead bugs. You want your legs parallel with the table and your back nice and flat. What we’re going to do is use alternate legs and arms. This is really good for those internal core muscles.

Clams

For the second exercise, we are going to do clams. On your side—there you go. Now open.

The key here is to try to hold this for about 30 seconds. The nice part is that you can get different bands with different resistance. What this does is fire the glutes to provide stability to your lower back.

Side Planks

The third exercise is just the good old side plank. Again, it’s another great core exercise. It can be modified, too. You can put your legs straight out if you’d like and bring them back in. Yep.

Those are three exercises that you can do at home. I’m Dr. Nick Heiss with Heiss Chiropractic. We’ll see you on your next visit.
